When King Frederick III of Denmark granted the Coat of Arms of

Ancient Viking Ring Castle Provides Inspiration for a Modern Classic

Hobro, Denmark is the site of Fyrkat, one of the country’s oldest Viking Ring Castles. These unique forts, which date back to 11th century, were designed in the shape of a giant circle, bisected by two roads that cross at right angles in the exact center of the fort.
