The gentle curves of Ancona’s harbor basin provide the inspiration for this delightful new design from GV2.
Only recently discovered by tourists, the picturesque city of Ancona has been a hidden Italian treasure for centuries. Located strategically on the Adriatic Sea, Ancona’s harbor, defined by a large oval basin on the west side of the city, has been in use since Roman times.
The gently curving quay flanking the historic harbor provided the inspiration for GV2’s latest masterpiece: the GV2 Ancona.
This stunning 39.6 mm women’s timepiece features a unique offset mother of pearl dial defined by seven intertwining curves. The beautiful two-hand configuration incorporates four brilliant diamonds as indices at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock and a precious blue cabochon inset in the onion shaped setting crown. Completing the design is an applied GV2 logo at 12 o’clock.
