When master watchmaker Tullio Bolletta founded the Lorenz company in 1934, he probably didn’t realize he was also was laying the foundation for one of the most successful wall and table clock manufacturers of all time. Lorenz had a long tradition of manufacturing quality clocks, but when one of their table clocks won the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award in 1960, Lorenz decided to launch an entirely new brand dedicated to the production of wall and table clocks and the Bino name was born.
After the outstanding success of their award winning Static Table Clock, designed by the young and soon to be famous Richard Sapper, the company realized that clocks could be much more that simple utilitarian tools. Bino expanded clock production in the 1970’s and reinvented the wall and table clock as an interior design object.
Over the years, Bino clocks have become synonymous with the very best in Italian design. Although the company manufacturers a huge variety of clocks, from simple travel alarms to large commercial wall clocks, Bino is best known for their artistic designs.
